Keep up with your growing young’un! The Cub no-pedal balance bike is designed for kids aged 20 months to 5 years. We’ve built this beginner’s bike to ease toddlers into developing essential coordination and balance. It sports a frame with a low down tube so it’s easy to get on and off of the bike. The Cub is also adjustable, so it will grow with your kiddo. You can change the position of the handlebars and seat tube.

A balance bike is better than training wheels. Riding along with no pedals means kids balance on their feet, which means their feet are almost always touching the ground. Mini-bicyclists can zoom around without the risk of going too quickly or falling down, seriously reducing the risk of getting hurt.

The Cub balance bike also requires virtually no assembly or maintenance. It doesn’t have pedals or a chain. The tires are air-free, which means they can’t pop and won’t deflate. The step-thru frame is lightweight and extremely durable.

Families who ride Critical bikes together stay together.

Meets or exceeds all standards of safety for CPSC/CPSIA CFR 16:1512.

Careful and constant adult supervision is required when riding this bike. Always wear a helmet. Not suitable for children under 20 months.

SEAT ASSEMBLY

Open the quick release clamp located at the top of the seat tube and insert the seat-post assembly into the seat tube. Secure into position by closing the quick release lever.

You can adjust the clamping force on the seat-post by opening the quick release lever and loosening or tightening the adjustment nut at the back of the clamp.

The lever should begin to offer resistance at about the half way point in its travel. You should feel a reasonable amount of resistance when fully closing the lever and the seat assembly should not easily rotate.

If the seat is loose and rotates in the seat tube, open the quick release lever and tighten the adjusting nut a little at a time until the seat is secure. Also check to make sure the clamp at the base of the saddle is tight.

If the lever has too much resistance and will not fully close, open the lever and loosen the adjusting nut until you reach the desired adjustment.

HANDLEBAR ASSEMBLY

Open the quick release clamp located at the top of the fork and insert the handlebar assembly into the fork.

Secure the handlebar in the fork by closing the lever on the quick release clamp.

You can adjust the clamping force on the handlebar stem by opening the quick release lever and loosening or tightening the adjustment nut at the back of the clamp.

The lever should begin to offer resistance at about the half way point in its travel. You should feel a reasonable amount of resistance when fully closing the lever and the handlebar assembly should not easily rotate. Test this by holding the front wheel between your legs and trying to rotate the bars.

If the handlebar is loose and rotates in the fork, open the quick release lever and tighten the adjusting nut a little at a time until the handlebar is secure in the fork and does not easily rotate.

If the lever has too much resistance and will not fully close, open the quick release lever and loosen the adjusting nut until you reach the desired adjustment.
